Recipe from Gourmet Mag Dec08,i tweaked a bit to suit my style :)
Crispy and crunchy, a sure hit.
11/2 cups[234g] all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 stick [114g] salted butter,softened
1 cup [228g] packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup [70g] almond slivers
How To
- Whisk together flour, baking soda
- Beat together butter and egg until pale and fluffy
- At low speed, mix in flour mix until a dough just forms
- Stir in almond slivers
- Press into cookie tray, as thin and as level you can. Insert cutter.
- Freeze for atleast 4 hours before baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown at 180°C
